A fresh but entertaining evening spent at the former RAF base in Abingdon. The event is a chance for photographers to be able to get close to the aircraft and helicopters without the crowds and barriers. This is kind of a pre event for the Abingdon Airshow that took place the next day. The event started around 16.30 so time to take some photos or to work out compositions for when the sun sets and the lights go on, When the real fun starts.
A good variety of aircraft were on offer to photograph and plenty of time to get round to photograph everything. As with every form of photography I was chasing the light trying to get the best angels to make the best photo.
The event finished off around 22.00. Then time to head home and thaw out and upload the many images to the computer ready for editing.
The event was organised by the team at Threshold.aero. Treshold is run by a superb team of aviation enthusiasts who are more than willing to help out where they can. Check out their website for up coming events. (Linked above)
