An early start for me to get to Portsmouth Harbour early enough to see a couple of departures and an arrival. First off the Royal Canadian Navy's Halifax-class frigate HMCS Fredericton (337) (Click here for photos). The second departure was the Royal Navy's type 23 frigate HMS Westminster (F237) (Photos to follow). Lastly was the arrival of the Royal Navy's Queen Elizabeth class of aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) (Click here or the image below for photos)
The weather wasn't brilliant for the two departures, the sun decided to hide while they were leaving and made an appearance when HMS Queen Elizabeth was coming in. Would have been better if the weather situation was the other way round as the time of the arrival meant I was almost taking my photos directly into the sun.
A quick stop for fuel on my way home and decided to check the movements page for Southampton to see there was a rare visitor due. See my post in regards to this rare visitor here.
