Welcome to MB PiX

I've always had an interest in taking photos from a young age using my dads camera. I bought my first SLR camera when I was around 18 but didn't really have the time to get out and take many photos as I'd of liked. But when I did I took photos at Airshows and motocross events.

This all changed in around 2005 when I had an accident which left me paralysed from my shoulders down. Although it was a life changing accident in a bad way it also had some positives to be found. After nearly a year in hospital and 6 months to find the confidence to drive I got a car and that's when I picked up a used camera and started to get out and about taking my pictures. With very limited hand function I thought I wouldn't be able to use a camera but I found a way that worked for me and that's when MB PiX was born. My wheelchair can be pretty limiting on places I can get to but I always find a gap in the fence I can shoot through at an airfield. But for me the most important thing is to be out in the fresh air with fellow photographers enjoying myself.

My love of aircraft also came at a young age from my Dad taking my Brother and I to Fairford for the airshows and Abingdon in the early days. Also he would take to Heathrow to watch the planes come and go. I used to go to Fairford Airshow every year with my Dad until he sadly passed away in 2011. I do Still go every year with him in mind.

I have many photos on my Facebook Page and will be updating this website as often as possible. But please enjoy looking through my albums.
